Acceptance
These Terms govern your use of Avocalo. By using the app or website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Avocalo. If you use Avocalo on behalf of someone else, you are responsible for having permission to enter their information.
Free first release
The first release of Avocalo is free to use and does not include recurring paid plans or in-app purchases. If paid features are added later, they will be clearly presented before purchase.
App usage
Avocalo is designed for personal food logging and wellness tracking. You are responsible for the information you enter, the photos you scan, and how you use the estimates shown in the app.
AI estimate limitations
Avocalo uses AI to estimate food names, calories, macros, confidence, and nutrition quality from photos. These results may be incomplete, incorrect, or affected by portion size, hidden ingredients, lighting, framing, packaging, and recipe variation. Avocalo does not guarantee nutrition accuracy.
Nutrition and medical disclaimer
Avocalo is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, medical advice, or a personalized clinical diet plan. Consult a qualified professional before making medical, dietary, or weight-loss decisions.
Acceptable use
Do not use Avocalo to upload illegal, harmful, abusive, or non-food content; interfere with the service; reverse engineer the app or API; or use the product in a way that violates applicable law or another person's rights.
Account and data deletion
You can delete your Avocalo data from Profile > Delete my data. Deletion is intended to remove your local profile and scan history and request deletion of server-side profile, food logs, friend requests, friendships, and activity links. See Account Deletion for details.
Third-party services
Avocalo may rely on third-party infrastructure and AI providers, currently including OpenAI for food analysis. Their services help us operate Avocalo, but Avocalo remains responsible for the app experience we provide to you.
App Store terms
If you download Avocalo through Apple's App Store, your use of the app is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms.
Changes
We may update these Terms as Avocalo evolves. The updated date above shows when this page was last changed.
