What Avocalo does
Avocalo is an AI-powered calorie tracking app that helps you scan meals, estimate calories and macronutrients, set a daily calorie target, and optionally share food activity with friends. This policy explains what information we process and how it is used.
Information we process
Avocalo may process your profile name, local user ID, 9-digit Avocalo UID, optional email address, onboarding answers, age, sex, height, weight, activity level, goal, calculated daily calorie target, food photos, AI food analysis, food names, calories, protein, carbs, fat, confidence, quality score, descriptions, scan timestamps, friend UIDs, friend requests, friendships, and friend activity shown in the Activity feed.
How we use information
We use this information to create your profile, calculate your daily target, analyze meal images, save scan history, show your nutrition timeline, operate friend requests and friend activity, troubleshoot reliability issues, and provide customer support.
AI processing
Food photos and meal context may be processed by our AI provider, currently OpenAI, only to provide food recognition and nutrition estimates. AI results are estimates from a photo and may be inaccurate.
No advertising tracking
Avocalo does not sell personal data, does not use data brokers, and does not use your information for third-party advertising or advertising tracking.
Storage and safeguards
Your profile and scan history may be stored in Avocalo's production database so the app can restore your data and show your history. We use reasonable safeguards and secured production infrastructure to protect the information we process.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your Avocalo profile exists. You can delete your data in the app from Profile > Delete my data. This removes your local profile and scan history and requests deletion of your server profile, food logs, friend requests, friendships, and activity links. If deletion cannot be completed in the app, contact support@avocalo.gramapps.com.
